Atlassian launched a net new product in September 2024, packaging a set of Gen-AI capabilities into a product that could be enabled on top of Confluence and Jira. I designed the end-to-end administration experience for this new product, from discovery through to setup and activation, to facilitate a successful GA launch.
The Overview homepage in Atlassian Admin had not changed since its inception circa 2019, consisting of duplicative content to the Products page. I designed and shepherded a new front door that would increase utility, drive business value, and improve awareness of our solutions and capabilities.
A longstanding pain point for customers, with the first public feature request coming in 2011, the ability to customize Atlassian Cloud URLs was made possible in 2023. I designed the end-to-end setup and administration experience, collaborating closely with various cloud architecture teams for this highly technical and complex feature.
Atlassian Cloud and our SaaS products became the primary business focus around 2019, but a significant portion of our customer base had a long history with our legacy Server and Data Center products. Migrating users and data from those on-premise solutions to Cloud was error-prone, and fraught with problems both technical and logistical. Through primary research, I mapped out the end-to-end migration experience to create a shared understanding of what it was actually like, and identify key areas of opportunity for various R&D teams.
